This Taco Bell serves the good people of Phoenixville. There are a number of shopping opportunities along Nutt Road (PA-23) as there are several malls with in a stones throw of this location and shopping can make you hungry. Phoenixville is an old railroad town and I would like to think that Taco Bell fits the bill of a no-nonsense food supply that the locals love.

But Phoenixville is also undergoing a revitalization in its downtown area. About two miles from the Restaurant, Bridge Street, PA-113 on the West side and PA-29 to the East, you will find the focus of this effort.

The movie theater featured in the classic movie, "The Blob" is located on Bridge Street, and the town is promoting this asset. But there are a lot of boutiques and upscale restaurants and cafes that are moving into the spaces once occupied by the hardware stores, music shops and general stores that were a staple of Main Street USA.

While I am not dissing anyone who wants to pay $20 or more for a little piece of lamb on a bed of mixed greens, I personally prefer something more substancial. It is great to have an alternative like Taco Bell so close. So after a visit to downtown Phoenixville and the Canal Lock 60 Park on the other side of the River, I was off to the Taco Bell for lunch, where I ate like a Kin9 for less than $5!!
