I discovered this beautiful building on a Sunday morning while I was driving around before catching a flight out of Omaha. The blue of the sky emphasized the gold and white of the building. For a second, I wasn't in Nebraska any more.
According to the website, this beaufiful building was nothing more than the gutted remains of 7 restaurants on a lot behind a strip mall in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1993, several Indian immigrants bought the building and set about renovating it. The result is two-fold- one the beautiful traditional temple and the adjoining social hall with a big kitchen. The building was completed Aug 30, 2004.
