This benchmark is located about 40 feet SE of centerline of U.S. Hwy. 97 about 100 feet south of the northbound sign for the LaPine State Recreation Area junction. The cap was set by the Oregon State Highway Department in 1954 in top of concrete post and is stamped F532.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1988 10.9 KM (6.75 MI) NORTHERLY ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 97 FROM THE POST OFFICE IN LAPINE, 12.0 M (39.4 FT) SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 0.5 M (1.6 FT) SOUTH OF A STATE WITNESS POST, 0.3 M (1.0 FT) NORTH OF A WITNESS POST, 0.3 M (1.0 FT) BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE HIGHWAY, AND IN TOP OF A CONCRETE POST THAT PROJECTS 0.19 M (0.6 FT) ABOVE THE GROUND SURFACE.
