This wildlife management area offers many hiking trails with a great year round stocked trout stream. Some managed hunts are held here during season and hiking and mountain biking is allowed. This land is actually owned by a paper company but is managed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Fish and Game Division. There are several interesting areas here including an 1857 iron furnace.

The WMA offers the following Camping, Hunting, Fishing, Field Trail Access, Hiking and Bird Watching.
Estimated size of the public land (in regional measurement standard: hectares, acres, kms, etc.): 14,900 acres

Is there a trail system?: Yes

If there is a trail system, please describe length, terrain, etc.:
The trail system is mostly hard packed gravel but there are some areas of hard packed clay also. Although I can not find out how many miles of trail there are I would estimate it at 20 miles or so.

What points of interest are there?:
Stamp Creek is the major water feature here. Trout fishing is very good here year round. An old iron furnace is located about 1.5 miles from the Stamp Creek Rd. access point.

What activities are available?:
Horseback riding is allowed as is bicycling. Motorized vehical access is very limited and no ATV's are allowed.

List of known hazards (cliffs, snakes, poison plants, etc.):
Snakes and poison plants are always present in these wild areas but are not any bigger of a problem than in other areas of this region.

Dogs Allowed?: Yes

Is a permit/fee required?: No

Please supply the website of the land if available: [Web Link]

Hours of accessibility?: Not listed

If a permit/fee is required please describe in detail how to get one, how much, etc.: Not listed
