Judges Spinney is a lesser known location which it is easy to drive past and miss. There are parking spots on the verge and some new signs. Pathways have been cleared and there is a nice walk around the perimeter of the wood.

Through the generosity of Alderman Commander H Roff Newton, Bedfordshire County Council were able to obtain this spinney in 1973. Local working groups have put in many hours of tidying and clearing to make a circular pathway. The pathway leads to a view point on the south side overlooking Bedford and the Paula Radcliffe Way. Paula grew up in the village and her parents still live there. So when the A6 Clapham bypass was constructed a few years ago it was named after our local popular Olympic athlete and opened by her.
