Camp Crystal Lake Outdoor Education Center is owned by the School Board of Alachua County, Florida. It is located between Starke and Keystone Heights off State Road 100. Purchased from the Federal Government in 1948, the grounds consists of 140 acres, bordering two sand-bottomed, crystal clear lakes.
Camp Crystal Lake has grown into a very important part of the community's children's learning experience, which they plan to continue well into the future.
Camp Crystal Lake is an Alachua County School District environmental education camp where a little more than 3 miles of the Florida Trail crosses the property. The trail crossing is near the camp entrance, which is east of SR 100, 4 miles north of Keystone Heights off Airpark Road.

Visitors should visit the Nature Center and post a photo of themselves (or GPS unit) either inside or outside of the nature center visited. Logs without photos WILL be allowed if a lenghty description of one's visit and a mention of what they learned is included.
