Mission Recreation Dog Park - Off-Leash Dog Areas on Waymarking.com

The whole park is just under 55 hectares and has easy access to a library, sports center, sports fields and 16 km of Greenway. The off-leash portion is tucked away in the northern part of the Park.

This dog park is a small enclosure (approx. 1 ha) with lots of parking. The posted opening hours are from 6AM to 11PM. Enclosure is used year round and is very busy. The terrain is completely flat and there are 4 to 5 picnic tables enclosed. Also, to hide from the summer sun, a couple patches of trees are available. Mission Creek is right next door so your pooch can get a drink of water after that long run, it is an on-leash area only though.

No rules are posted on site but this is what is posted on the City of Kelowna website.

Responsible owners:

-clean up after their dogs
-train their dogs to obey commands
-license their dogs
-vaccinate their dogs
-ensure their dogs don’t bother other park users
-use a leash no longer than 2 m. (6 ft.)
-stay at least 10 m. (30 ft.) away from playgrounds

A maximum fine of $500 can be levied against any person not complying with these responsibilities. Call Dog Control at 860-9322 or Bylaw Enforcement at 862-3361 to report infractions. (It’s helpful to provide a vehicle license plate number.)
