This waterfall is just off the hiking trail to 3 Isle Lake in Kananaskis country in Alberta. It is easy to access from below but hard to get above it. To reach the falls requires a hike of about 4 hours with an elevation rise of about 2000 ft. The stream that forms the falls originates up near 3 Isle Lake and although there is no direct connection between the stream and the lake, many suspect that there is an underground connection.
The water cascades down the slanted rock face and has a small pool at the bottom from which the stream exits. If you can brave the cold water you can walk right up to the base of the falls or you can scramble over some rocks to get there.
A short distance below the falls there is a nice gravel area that is perfect for relaxing and having some lunch.
From about October to July the falls are pretty much inaccessible due to the snowfall in the mountains.
