Text of marker:
"The Site of the Walker Tavern 1760 -1793
Old No. 4"

The tavern was moved to the back of the lot in 1834 to make way for the stone cottage shown in the photo. In 1860 it was moved across the railroad tracks to the site of Clough's Mobile Homes where it burned in the early 1960's.

The marker was placed by the Old Fort No. 4 committee of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
