The Museum of Natural HIstory is open year round, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10AM to 5PM, free of charge. In the back is the native garden, and on the back wall is this mural, partially concealed by the growing plants. It's easy to understand the significance of the whales and dolphins in view of coastal California; it's not easy to figure out what the smudgy ribbon is supposed to represent.
