he Person County Courthouse was built in 1930. The Classic Revival styled courthouse was designed by architect Charles C. Hartmann. The building continues to serve as the courthouse for Person County. Located on the grounds of the courthouse are several memorials including a statue in memorial to Robert Lester Blackwell, a World War I Medal of Honor recipient from the County.
