The Fresno Southern Pacific depot was built in 1889 in the Queen Anne style and has been restored for other uses. It is now utilized as offices for various businesses. The station no longer serves railroad passengers.

SOUTHERN PACIFIC DEPOT, 1889
Birth place of Fresno. In 1872 a wooden station was erected on the Central Railroad. In 1884 Southern Pacific Company bought the line and later built this brick depot.
The railroad founded Fresno, brought settlers and shipped their crops, developing this desert into the agri-business capital of the world.
