Located in northeast Red Deer, this off-leash area runs along the Red Deer River and is a great place to run the puppies.
This large dog run area is accessible from several spots via a 1 km paved road. There are several parking lots - the above ones are for one at the end-of-the-road. Once you leave the paved road, you have many dirt paths that run near the river - also near the river is a paved bike-path.
There are shelters for other activities, a BMX track, and some kind of water "jump." A washroom is available but I'm not sure if the toilets are flushable or not - thus I'll list the toilets as non-flushable.
There are two geocaches located in this dog run. One cache "McDuck 3 - Penny Cache" ( GCGAQH ), has eluded me twice, rats!
If I HAD a dog, I'd take him/her here as it looks like a fun place, even in the winter.
