This trigpoint sits in an area of open land near the Forestry Commission-owned Croydon Hill forest. The trees restrict off the view to the south, but there is a panoramic view to the north, as well as over the forest towards Dunkery.
The nearest car park to the trigpoint is in Kingsbridge, at SS985376 (marked on 1:25K maps but not 1:50K), although bear in mind that the quickest route to the trigpoint from there is up a steep and stony path. Alternatively, you can walk up through the forest from the Forestry Commission car park at SS974420, or do what I did and park at Kennisham Woods (SS965369), visit the trigpoint at Lype Hill en route, and take the forest track up near Churchcombe.
Type of Trigpoint: Triangulation Pillar
