The entire grounds of museum is well maintained and easy to walk the grounds. Being "winter" in Louisiana at time of Waymarking, I did not see any birds in the houses, although they were open. The main museum building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The entire complex has a Blacksmith shop, old out buildings, a doll making house, caboose and many other fun and educational things to see.
