When this grange was founded, it was probably to serve the small cluster of farmers between Portland and Salem. But within the last 20 years Woodburn has boomed as a bedroom community for both larger cities, and the grange has boomed as well. The building has more than doubled it's original size with a new wing, and it's location at a major intersection means it is in demand from a multitude of groups. The current project is construction of a second paved parking lot, plus permanent curbing around the property. This is likely to be a grange whose only real problem is managing growth. On the day I visited both parking lots were packed for bingo, despite monsoon conditions.

Visit Instructions:
To post a visit to an existing Grange Hall waymark, you will need to post a picture of the front of the building, with the name of the chapter in the background if that is possible. Including your gps device in the picture is not neccesary, but wouldn't be cause for disapproval. If your Grange Hall has any unusual or unique features that you feel others would enjoy viewing, additional pictures are always welcome.
