"Devils Garden, which contains sixty-four of the Monument's eighty-one known arches, is the largest and most complex section of the Monument. It extends along a continuous sandstone ridge, eroded into jungles of upright fins, huge amphiteaters with sinuous interconnecting passageways, and wind-gnarled monoliths. Small parks with sweetwater springs are secreted here and there, surrounded by vertical slabs of sandstone, and sometimes joined to natural "slickrock" corrals that are used by cattlemen at branding time. It is distinctly a foot and horseback region."
--- Utah. A Guide to the State, 1941
The Devil's Garden is extremely popular, as th entire reef here is full of fins and odd formations. The parking area for the trailhead is very large, and can handle large motorhomes. A drinking fountain is available right at the trailhead, and I suggest you use it.
The Devil's Garen Trail is 7.2 miles round trip, and takes you past Landscape Arch and Double O Arch among others. Most of the trail winds through the fins and sheer, eroded clifs. It's still HOT and some places can get steep.
My husband's knees were bothering him, and we were in the park to hit the 4 wheel drive trails, so we took the "quick" .8 mile hike to Landscape Arch. The trail no longer lets visitors go underneath the iconic arch, but one can look and see the weak spots in the arch. It is just a matter of time beore this arch falls.
