Needham Bowlaway is an eight lane bowling alley in the basement of the Greymont Building, at 16 Chestnut Street. The entrance is easy to miss. It is the left-most entrance, under the fading sign. On the side of the building is a candlepin and candlepin ball, with "Bowl" and "8" on them. Once you enter through the door, there is a flight of narrow stairs you must go down (sorry, no elevator here). In the basement level, you can see the eight lanes and the counter. Depending on the time you arrive you could be in the midst of "Cosmic Bowling" (lights, disco, and glowing colors), or "Retro Bowling" (what used to be normal!). Not much else is available here, since there is no room! The facilities can be reserved for functions or parties. Walk-ins are welcome, but may be limited due to reserved functions.

I haven't been there in the last couple of years, but I have been there many times in my life. My average varies wildly from about 70 - 130.
