Japanese Model 38
(1905) 75mm Howitzer

One of the early weapons of the Japanese Division Artillery, this weapon has been subject to considerable modification and several versions are known to exist. There is no evidence this parent model has been deployed during World War II operations.

This display is located on the Marine Corps Recruiting Depot in San Diego. The depot graduates about 1 to 2 company's of New Marines each month. The Museum is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday (until 4:30 on Thursdays). Admission is free, and military identification is not required, although admittance to the Depot requires a photo identification card, driver’s license, and proof of insurance if driving aboard base.
