The small town of Niland, CA (pop.1200) supports one Catholic church. In the vacant lot directly behind the church will be found El Camino de la Cruz, The Stations of the Cross.

Once kept up nicely and used regularly, these stations are now falling into a sad state of disrepair as church attendance falls off in this little town along State Hwy 111. The Salton Sea, just West of town, can be seen from various places along the highway before turning East at Noffsinger Rd. to visit the Stations at the intersection of Noffsinger Rd. and Isis Ave. The Catholic Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary, will be found at 19 E 6th St.
