This IHM stands in front of Heritage Hills High School at the intersection of SR 162 and CR 1625 N. The full text reads:
"In 1819, Turnham family settled less than one mile northeast of Thomas Lincoln's farm. Turnham was a friend of Abraham Lincoln. Turnham loaned Lincoln Revised Laws of Indiana (1824) in 1827. After Lincoln's assassination, he provided information to historians about Lincoln's youth."
The marker was placed in 1995 by the Indiana Historical Bureau and the Spencer County Historical Society.
