Did you know that in Frostburg, people could have coal mines in their basements? This was one of the interesting things we learned on our visit here. Housed in the former Hill Street School the museum covers many topics such as coal mining, the National Road (part of which is the city's Main Street) and the local Arion Band, still in existence after 130 years! They also have extensive photograph collection and genealogy resources. Their displays present many aspects of daily life in Frostburg through the years.
