This is a triangulation station disk on a slab of concrete in the hills of Point Loma before you reach Cabrillo National Park.

Following is the description from Geocaching.com taken from the documented history of the Coast Guard on their first discovering this mark on 1/1/1933: "DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1933 (FM) THIS STATION IS NEAR THE OLD STATION MIDDLE LOMA. THE ARMY HAS BUILT AN UNDERGROUND PIT OF CONCRETE WITH AN IRON ROOF WITH HINGED SHUTTERS OVER IT ON THE KNOLL. THE STATION IS 4.64 METERS FROM THE NE CORNER OF THE CONCRETE WALL OF THE PIT. 1.90 METERS FROM THE NW CORNER. AND 4.03 METERS FROM THE SW CORNER. THE STATION IS MARKED BY A SECTION OF GALVANIZED-IRON PIPE ONE INCH IN DIAMETER AND ONE FOOT LONG DRIVEN INTO THE GROUND. IT IS PROBABLE THAT THE OLD STATION WAS DISTURBED WHEN THE EXCAVATION WAS MADE FOR THE PIT. THERE WAS A STAKE WITH A TACK DRIVEN IN IT ABOUT IN THE POSITION OF THE OLD STATION. BUT IT WAS NOT CONSIDERED SAFE TO USE IT AS THE OLD STATION. THE KNOLL ON WHICH THE STATION IS LOCATED IS THE FIRST ONE S FROM THE SOUTHERN LINE OF THE NAVY RADIO RESERVATION ON POINT LOMA."
