This World War II Memorial is at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto's only cemetery, located at the intersection of Arastradero Road and Foothill Expressway. The memorial is located near the office and center of the cemetery park. It consists of a ten foot circular flower bed surrounding a headstone-like monument. The headstone is granite and has a granite vase sitting to top on the stone base. On the side of the monument base, it reads:

IN MEMORY OF THOSE
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN WORLD WAR II
