Completed in 1904, the Piquette Avenue Plant was the first factory Built by the Ford Motor Company. This is where, while seeking more efficiency, Ford experimented with aspects of the moving assembly line.

Designed at the Piquette plant, the Model T was the car Henry Ford knew America wanted. Light, flexible and simple, the Model T was Henry Ford's ultimate design. The first 12,000 Model T's were built in the Piquette factory during 1908 and 1909.
