Description of Memorial: The memorial and the park are located on the South East corner of the intersection of Mondamin and Wabena streets in downtown Minooka. The monument specifically mentions veterans of World War II, but the park also displays flags and other items from the various conflicts in which the United States participated since that time. The U.S. flag, the POW/MIA flag, and other various military branch specific flags have been known to be flown at the site at various times.
