The Palacio de Bellas Artes, located in the Centro Histórico district of Mexico City is the venue where the city's orchestral and opera companies perform (For example, Compañía Nacional de Ópera and Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional). Architected in the Beaux Arts style by Adamo Boari, the building's design vision first formed in 1904, with targetted completion by 1908. With various construction and political delays, the building was finally completed in 1934.
The 144ft concert hall's facade has a number beautiful pieces of art. The bas relief above the front entrance is call "Harmony" by sculptor Leonardo Bistolfi of the Carlo Nicoli studios, Italy. Statue of Pegasus by Agustín Querol. The pair of statues to the right of the entrance: "La Juventud (Youth)" by Andre Allar.
