EN: This ferry is a reactive cable ferry, i.e. it has no engine of any kind but uses the power of the current to get across the river. It connects the Münster hill with the Northern quarter between Wettsteinbrücke and Mittlere Rheinbrücke.
It is a pedestrians ferry used by tourists and locals likewise.
It was established in 1877. Transfer costs 1.60 CHF for adults. Daily service, except for floods.
Extended service during special events in the neighborhood.
DE: Diese Fähre ist eine reaktive Seilfähre, d.h. sie hat keinerlei Motor, sondern nutzt die Kraft der Strömung, um über den Fluss zu gelangen. Sie verbindet den Münsterhügel mit dem Nordviertel zwischen Wettsteinbrücke und Mittlerer Rheinbrücke.
Es ist eine Fußgängerfähre, die von Touristen und Einheimischen gleichermasse genutzt wird.
Die Fähre wurde 1877 gegründet. Fahrkosten 1,60 CHF für Erwachsene. Ausser während Überschwemmungen ist sie täglich in Betrieb.
