This monument is a good example of what road salt can do to aluminum. The monument cap has been eroded completely away and the whitish circle around the iron bar is what remains of an aluminum sleeve and cover that used to protect the monument. This is one of several monuments located by Herman for a survey in Priceville while Paul was picking up shoreline by GPS. Crew: Herman Koops NBLS, Paul McClafferty.
Unique Designation: NB Grid Monument 27256
Marker Type: Other
Condition: Slightly Damaged
