Edenvale Garden Park is the location of what used to be Frontier Village, an amusement park for children with a wild west theme.

Frontier Village no longer exists, but several birdhouses have been created within the park, that mark the spot and have the theme of the ride or building that used to be at that location.

The main entrance to Frontier Village was built to resemble the gates of an early western frontier fort. The bottom of the forts housed the ticket booths and visitor information. Guests could climb the stairs of the fort and take in a wonderful view of the park. This birdhouse was recreated in the image of the fort entrance and was designed with bird entrance holes and cavities to attract the White-breasted Nuthatch.
