John L. Kosiba's padlock is still on diplay in the Ripley's museum. He was a Welder as well as operating Kosiba's Lock Shop. A WWII, Navy Veteran who served as a Fireman 1st class aboard the USS Miami. He was awarded 9 Bronze Stars. He was a very active member of the community. He was a member of John J. Wyszomirski American Legion Post 701, a life member of VFW Post 55, a member of the Central New York State Locksmith Association and the Lock Museum of America Inc.
He is buried in St. Stanislaus Cemetery on Steadwell Rd. in Amsterdam. Please be respectful of mourners and come back if necessary. I've seen a lot of activity here in the past year. This is one of the busiest cemeteries I've seen yet so keep that in mind. Happy Waymarking, Swizzle & Family
