Origins of the KFC empire. Col. Sanders opened his first restaurant here in 1932. Started in a small gasoline station just on the other side of the Dixie Highway, he rented this property for the restaurant in 1933. Well worth the sidetrip off I-75.

Location houses a small musuem located inside an active KFC restaurant. The museum includes a room from the motel he built just up the street, a seating area that looks like the original restaurant, various statues and other interesting displays about the Colonel and his life.
