This wagon was made circa 1843. It is located inside the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame at the Fort Worth Stockyards.

This covered wagon was acquired in 1972 from an unnamed individual who had bought it in Colorado. It had probably traveled the Santa Fe Trail as it was the only trail of this period to pass through Colorado at all. This wagon could have possibly been made in either Franklin or Independence MO--both of which were major starting points for traders and settlers--or even in Santa Fe, NM. The wagon required a few minor repairs and was then painted.~info from sign
