The Peace Presbyterian Church a fascinating building that is futuristic in style and design. An inquiry about this unique structure elicited this information.
"Our church was chartered in 1960, and gathered on Sundays for a time at the (now demolished) Santa Clara school until the church was built a couple of years later. The architect was John E. Stafford, AIA, who won a national award for the design. Another part of our plant--a kitchen and Sunday school-- were added by 1966, and the last part, an office and social hall, were completed by 1977, all, of course, in the style of the original building." Pastor Bruce Cameron
John Stafford was also noted for his roll in the design of the Eugene City Hall which is listed with a short biography at Great Buildings of the World.
