Located on the corner of the thriving Flinders and Swanston Streets, the Flinders Street Station is an iconic symbol of the Melbourne City Centre, near the Yarra River area. Visitors to Melbourne will recognize the landmark station -- it is featured in advertisements and pictured in travel magazines.

The clock at the center top, is the current time. The 9 indicator clocks represent when the next train is arriving on the different railway lines. When built, the indicator clocks were updated as many as 900 times during an eight hour period. When a moderization project was proposed in 1983 to digitize the clocks, the community blocked the change... the analog clocks are now updated automatically.
