The Paul J. and Ida Trier House is a variant of the Frank Lloyd Wright New York Usonian Exhibition house. The house was built in 1957 in suburban Des Moines. The Usonian Exhibition house was designed by Wright in 1953 for the Sixty Years of Living Architecture exhibit held in New York. The Trier house is a modification of the original with what was the carport area of the original enclosed to create a playroom and shop. The house is well maintained is fitting in its suburban neighborhood.
