My son said "Is 18th Street near here?" I said "Yes, what's up?" He said "Let's go chow down at HonkyTonk BBQ, a place I heard about on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives!" The rest is history.

We stopped in on a rainy Sunday afternoon, the first customers of the day. Man was that pulled pork great! We met the owners too, who told us of their visit from Guy and his team. While enjoying my son's recommendation, I told him we had tix for Guy's show that week at the Rosemont Theater! Two guys just having a great time!

"Honky Tonk BBQ took 3rd place in the pork shoulder category at the 2008 Memphis World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest. We also placed 13th out of 101 for our sweet spicy wings and 5th out of 65 for our intricate turducken entry. We went down to Memphis and proved we have real, championship barbeque!"
