The bronze abstract sculpture is described as a rising form symbolizing life both in a mythical sense being in the shape of of a Unicorn's horn and in a scientific sense being in the shape of a double helix of a DNA molecule, the basic building block of life. The abstract cutouts allude the the artwork of the wife of the donor and mother of the sculptor.
