The stadium is rather deserted because the local football club is not very succussful these years.

Its back wall (about 400 meters long) is on the so called ring levee. This was built a hundred years ago to save the city of Szeged from floods that might come from any direction. Luckily the paralel levees of the nearby rivers have not been broken since 1879 so this levee has never had to withstand any flood.

Nowadays people jog there or walk their dogs. This is one of the few places where the authorities tolerate grafities in Szeged.

I have admired them for a long time. I do not know who paint them. They are constantly changing and I think a few years ago they were better.
