In the warm months, this piece of real-estate serves as an important water retention basin and an ecosystem "classroom". In the snowy months, the hill is mobbed with local sledders who live close by in this tightly nestled neighborhood.

Parking is available in front of the "entrance". With back to back blizzards, parking was dicey and many people simply walked from their homes. There were about 10 other people sledding when we showed up, all families. This is not a hard core hill, rather, it is best suited for those under 13; older children might get bored. I went down the hill and had a blast so for me it was perfect. There was also a ramp made of ice which I tried but that was pretty painful; my son laughed like heck though.

The main sledding area is very hard packed and slick yet not difficult to ascend. The angle of descent is about 60 degrees. To get to the top of the hill, we had to climb over the sidewalk as there was a wall of snow 5 feet high pushed from our city plows. The sledding area, due to it being a basin, can be accessed anywhere around the "bowl". There is plenty of room for everyone here in this best kept secret of Woodcrest - Cherry Hill.
