In 2005 a peace pole was erected on the grounds of Sacred Heart Convent and the Province Center. The words "May Peace Prevail on Earth" are written in four different languages - German, English, Spanish and Vietnamese - on the faces of the pole.

"We will be pro-active in our stance on and promotion of a culture of non-violence and peace."
