The origin of an extensive riverwalk in downtown Naperville, Illinois is remembered with a bronze plaque.

Amongst the names of contributors and planners, the bronze plaque reads:

In recognition of the major donors whose generous contributions helped to build the riverwalk in honor of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Naperville by Joseph Naper in 1831.

Dedicated September 7, 1981 as a lasting commemorative of the Sesquicentennial.
