Almost everybody in Melbourne has seen the famous Dimmey's Clock at some time in their lives. The roman numerals have been replaced by the letters DIMMEY STORES. It was constructed in stages in the Romanesque style from 1907-1918. The four level clock tower features a large copper globe.
