Todd Kramp was an area farmer who fell in love with baseball later in life and decided to start a little league for local kids. He never played baseball himself and was reading a book about baseball and caught baseball fever.
He bought a book on how to coach baseball and started putting together leagues for various age kids. Peewee, midgets, and teeners were some of the age brackets.
He was diagnosed with cancer and died about six months later, but the community was able to dedicate this ball park to him while he was still alive. He died in 2002.
Information obtained from an interview of a local resident.
