Many of the rooms overlook the lake. There is a grassed area at the front of the hostel to sit and enjoy the views of the lake.

This is popular base for watersports, walking and climbing enthusiasts. This large property is just outside a busy village. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the town of Ambleside from the hostel.

There is a modern cafe/bar on site which serves food from 12.00 - 20.00, using local products, and which also has a good selection of local ales.
