"In 2003 I was awarded a contract with the City of Reno, Nevada, to design, build, and install 63 kinetic wind sculptures for the City's "Arts and Culture District" light poles. This was a very large public art project involving six months of fabrication and installation. The 63 sculptures consist of five different designs that repeat throughout the district. Because of the durability requirements of this project, copper and stainless steel were used extensively."
David Boyer created 63 kinetic light-post pieces that are part of the downtown Reno arts make-over.
