Argent a sable pale, charged with three six-rayed argent mullets.
I have not found any information about its meaning. The flag is documented as the coat of arms of a family "von Binningen" in the 13th century. The community of Binningen took this as the municipal flag in 1921.
All Swiss flags (municipal and others) come in two versions: a square flag (which is the part on top of the picture) and a long pennant with a tail in the two most dominant colors.
