The Wissahickon Valley Historical Society was founded in 1975. The Society's mission is to preserve historic buildings, artifact and folklore of the Wissahickon Valley. The headquarters is located in a 1895 restored school house. The Society maintains a museum and library with their headquarters and publishes a monthly newsletter.
