The granite clock tower stands at the north end of High Street in Gatehouse of Fleet. The tower has two water basins. One for people and one for animals both with quotations.

The tower is made from local granite. A very durable material to carve these words in to. Above each basin are the quotations.

Above the low basin for animals are the words.
"A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast" (Proverbs 12:10) from King James Bible as we are in Scotland. (visit link)

Above the higher basin for people are the words:
"He sendeth the springs into the valleys which run among the hills." (Psalm 104:10) from the King James Bible as we are still in Scotland. (visit link)

Below the people basin are the words. "This fountain and water trough was given by Mrs Murray Stewart 1883"

The tower is on the corner of High Street and Ann Street, outside the Murray Arms hotel.
