This 12th century stone font is lead lined, has four side columns and a central column. It sits on an octagonal stone dias with step in the church nave by the south porch. On its south side it has an extra small basin supported by a relief carved Salamander corbel and there are two carved floral motifs on the main basin.

The font was removed from Elton Church in the 19th century. Elton church now has a copy of this original font.
